All non-immigrant visa applicants who wish to apply for a visa at a U.S. Consulate in Canada must complete the Form DS-156 Non-immigrant Visa Application on-line. The on-line DS-156 creates a bar code, but your information is not downloaded. You must still print out the completed Form DS-156 including the bar code and bring it along with all other required documents to your appointment. All applicants over age 15 must also complete the Form DS-157.

CONSULAR SERVICES AVAILABLE IN WINNIPEG, OCTOBER 14, 15, 16, 2009
A consular officer from the United States Consulate General in Toronto will be in Winnipeg October 14-16, in order to provide consular services to U.S. citizens. The officer will be available from 8:30 am - 12:00pm, and from 1:00pm to 3:30 pm CST each day to take applications for passports and birth registrations only. Click for More

American citizens whose passport applications are required to be made in person should visit either the Calgary Consulate or the most conveniently located Passport Acceptance Facility near the border with Canada.
